Fr. Dawid spends every Tuesday at the school from 9am to 3.30pm. He meets with the children to have biblical catechesis, e.g. about the mystery of creation, the sacraments or different biblical characters: Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Samson, Ruth, David, Esther, Daniel, Jonah …

He celebrates Holy Mass with a homily on special occasions, like the beginning of the school year, Harvest, Holy Souls Day, Advent, Christmas,  Epiphany, Presentation of the Lord, Ash Wednesday, Our lady of Lourdes, Lent or Easter.

On the other hand, the pupils attend S. Teresa's Church on many occasions, like Christmas, Lent or other major celebrations in our church.




Some Information about the School


S. Teresa’s Catholic Primary School is a one-form entry, with about 160 children currently on the roll. It is a situated on a small Housing Estate in the Parkfield area of Wolverhampton, consisting of hath Council and privately owned houses. Although in an urban situation, the School occupies a very pleasant green site where there is a variety of wildlife to be seen including foxes and squirrels. The children have been involved in the planting of tree, bushes and bulbs, which have all enhanced the School.

St. Teresa's is a very caring school, which operate an Open Door Policy. Pastoral care is a strength of the School and members of staff regularly attend to the parent's own needs as well as the children’s. St Teresa's is a School where other cultures and faiths are valued and respected and where everyone is treated with justice and fairness in accordance with our policy for Equal Opportunities. Inspectors have commented on the Racial Harmony that exists within the School - favourably during our two most recent OFSTFD Inspections.

There are seven classes, one for each year group. Some pupils are on the Special Needs' Register. This proportion is below the National Average and demonstrates the success of work with the children who have Special Educational Needs and our care for them. We recognise the value and the support given by all the members of the Governing Body who take a genuine interest in the life of the School.

The School have well-established links with St. Edmunds, St. Thomas More and Bishop Milner Catholic Comprehensive Schools. The Choir made up of children from years 3, 4, 5 and 6 participate in the St. Edmunds Annual Carol Concert. Twice a year members of the Choir visit the local Homes for the Elderly. The residents are invited to attend events and concerts in School.

There are a variety of extra curricular opportunities for the children to choose from. There is the Activity Club, Gymnastics, Football, Art and Games’ Clubs at lunchtimes and after School.
